Wand of Decoration
Wand, very rare
This wand is painted with rings of bright yellow and blue paint. The Wand of Decoration possesses the magical ability to conjure furniture and ornaments, allowing you to make a room into a personalized and aesthetically pleasing space.
The Wand of Decoration has 10 charges. It cannot have more than 10 charges. At dawn, roll a d10. On a 10, the wand regains a single charge.
- Creation: While holding the wand, you can use an action to expend a charge and choose an unoccupied space within 30 feet of you. The wand conjures a piece of furniture or an ornament of your choice into that space. The size of the conjured object can be no larger than a 10-foot cube and it must be worth 50 gold or less. The conjured object appears instantaneously in the chosen space. You can create multiple objects in a single action, but each object requires the expenditure of a charge.
- Dismissal: As an action, you can tap a conjured object with the Wand of Decoration, dismissing it from existence. When an object is dismissed, the wand regains a charge. Objects that have been destroyed do not regain a charge when dismissed. Only objects conjured by this specific wand can be dismissed by it.
The GM has ultimate discretion on what counts as "furniture" or an "ornament." Players should feel free to customize their objects cosmetically; but something like a lead-lined bed, or a vase made of cheese wouldn't count. GMs also decide what counts as a single object. For example, a bed with pillows, mattress and covers could reasonably count as a single object.
Creation Notes
Inspiration words: placing and decoration. It's wands week!
I guess you could use this to barricade. I'm sure players could find other ways to break it. 🙃 But the idea was too cool not to do. I like that I got to use charges in an unusual way.
